We were a family of 23 people across 3 generations . All of us enjoyed the stay , rather felt that we should have planned for 2 days as we liked the place so much. Location is awesome . We enjoyed the food. The rooms are so neat and clean. . Very well maintained garden, Overall it was a very pleasant stay with good memories.

The hospitality here was truly exceptional. The hosts went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable and memorable. The rooms were clean and well-maintained, and the surroundings were breathtaking with lush greenery. The authentic local food served was a highlight, showcasing the flavors of the region. The rooms are cozy, clean, and well-maintained. The hospitality of the owner and staff is commendable, making guests feel at home. The food is delicious.. Overall, a perfect place for a peaceful stay.

I have visited this place twice, first time in 2022 and the next was in the last week. The first time I saw this place I fell in love with it. During the day you can only hear a lot of birds chirping and as the night approaches the sound around become still and there is a certain calmness in the environment. The food was just too good. It was so homely that I really don’t feel I am eating outside. It was a peaceful and relaxing 2 nights and 3 days stay. My second visit was with my colleagues, a group of 35 folks. When my manager asked me for a place suggestion, Kolavara was my first and only choice. When the team saw the distance that they had to drive, they were a bit unsure if they wanted to drive that far. However upon reaching Kolavara the stress of driving was gone and everyone found themselves enjoying the place in their own ways. Few in the pool, few just sitting and taking in the nature’s beauty, few enjoying a peaceful nap and so on. We stayed for 2 nights and 3 days this time too. It was an absolute treat. Each one of the team member enjoyed the stay throughout. The facility and the food had not changed a bit. I found the rooms and the bathrooms clean and new like it was during my first visit. The food tasted delicious just like home. I have to mention about the host and family. They are the most gracious people I’ve met. Vathsalya and her husband are both very kind and patient people. They are very accommodative and make the stay comfortable for each and every guest. I recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a home stay in the malnad region. I also like to visit this place again whenever I get a chance.

Wonderful Experience! Very Serene and Quite Place To Spend Time With Your Family. Very Beautifully Located and Maintained. Was surprised to know that the property is almost 140 years old... indeed Heritage. We were made to feel at home in their beautiful house by Vathsalyaji and her family!!! Must Visit.

We had a wonderful stay at the Kolavara heritage homestay, a 140 yr old property that has been lovingly restored and maintained by the hosts. The rooms were spacious, comfortable and tastefully decorated with antique furnitures. The service was impeccable, with the hosts going out of their was to make us feel comfortable and welcome. And catered to all our needs since we travelled with a baby they were accomodating with our requests. We had initially booked for 1 day but extended it by another day because we loved the stay and food. The food was delicious, authentic and traditional malnad cuisine. The homestay had a pool which was very clean and we also went on a property guided tour in the morning which was very nice. I highly recommend this homestay to anyone looking for a unique and memorable experience in Tirthahalli.

The place is maintained extremely well, the rooms are very clean and this is what made me feel like i will definitely visit this place again and again, the owners are so humble and kind, very simple healthy home food. I loved the food here. Entire team is very hospitable. The place is very calm and serene. Must visit place and i highly recommend people to visit Kolavara Heritage.
